Fame does bring its own share of luck. How fame saved Clarence Seedorf and his family from death at the hands of robbers couple of years ago makes an interesting story to read.

One chilly night… to be precise on Thursday, the November 10th, 2005 four dreaded robbers barged into the villa of AC Milan’s midfield genius Clarence Seedorf and took away jewellery and other valuables worth $129,000. At the time of burglary Clarence Seedorf, his wife, three-year-old daughter and their maid were in the house. The robbers picked up a knife from Clarence Seedorf’s kitchen and forced him to open his safe.

While the operation burglary was going on Clarence Seedorf was reportedly praying in silence for the lives of his family. Luckily for him, all the robbers completed their task and decamped with the booty leaving all the members in the house unharmed. Certifying the good old robbers for sparing their lives, Clarence Seedorf said, “The people who came in to our house behaved well, they left calmly. As far as it is possible to say this, once we were face-to-face, the atmosphere was quite calm.” He further added, “They didn’t know it was my house, possibly because we only moved in a few months ago. But then they recognized me.” Clarence Seedorf said.

Well, is he meaning the robbery wouldn’t have taken place in the first place had the robbers knew that it was his house? Do robbers also get bogged down by ones name and fame? Only robbers could enlighten us on these questions and police when they get hold of them please find the answers for us.
